If George W. Bush had forced union workers to take unprecedented concessions and to invalidate their hard-won contracts, while allowing millions in bonuses for banking executives – those mainly responsible for destroying our economy - and allowing THEIR contracts to remain intact, how would you have reacted?
If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, how would you have reacted?
If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC – causing incredible traffic tie-ups - how would you have reacted?
If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, how would you have reacted?
If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?
If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, how would you have reacted?
If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent “Austrian language,” would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?
If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who can’t seem to pay their income taxes, how would you have reacted ?
If George W. Bush had stated that there were 57 states in the United States, would you have said that he is clueless?
If George W. Bush had referred to “Cinco de Cuatro” in front of the Mexican ambassador (instead of Cinco de Mayo, the 5th of May), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?
If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word “advice” would you have hammered him for it for years (like Dan Quayle and “potatoe”) as proof of what a dunce he is?
If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have accused him of hypocrisy?
If George W. Bush’s administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan – causing widespread panic - would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9/11?
If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest, with more people made homeless than in New Orleans, would you have charged him with racism and incompetence?
If George W. Bush had created new positions of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate, how would you have reacted?
If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, how would you have reacted?
If George W Bush had proposed to double the national debt (which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate) in one year, how would you have reacted?
If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, how would you have reacted?
Just think about it. And, perhaps more importantly, how would the major television networks have reacted? Gosh, do you think there may possibly be a double standard here?

I had absolutely no use for George Bush (either one) but the passes Obama is given is a terrible shame to the main stream media.
The US Supreme court today knocked down a previous court ruling and parts of the McCain-Feingold Campaign limits bill. Overturning these provisions will go a long way toward getting back to the freedom of speech guaranteed us in the US Constitution.

You can find videos like this all over YouTube. Was he arrested for “excessive celebration” or “cheering for the wrong team”? Did the cops just have another bad day? One cops says “you just have to cooperate”…..well who says I have to ? Who elected the cops my ruler ?
At least one guy stood up to them……an innocent bystander…but he was arrested, also. Notice……a cop asking your to “come outside” is the same as “you are under arrest”, refuse to go outside and you are in deep doodoo.
We will not recognize [American Fascism] as it rises. It will wear no black shirts here. It will probably have no marching songs. It will rise out of a congealing of a group of elements that exist here and that are the essential components of Fascism….
It will be at first decorous, humane, glowing with homely American sentiment. But a dictatorship cannot remain benevolent. To continue, it must become ruthless. When this stage is reached we shall see that appeal by radio, movies, and government-controlled newspapers to all the worst instincts and emotions of our people. The rough, the violent, the lawless men will come to the surface and into power. This is the terrifying prospect as we move along our present course. –

Osama: 10 US: 0 by Eric Magolis
To better understand why Osama bin Laden is so far winning his struggle to oust the western powers from the Muslim world, let us go back to 1986, when I was covering the anti-Soviet war in then almost unknown Afghanistan.
I called on the grandly titled “Afghan Information Center” in Peshawar, Pakistan. Peshawar was a wild and dangerous place. I called it, “Dodge City meets the Arabian Nights” in my book on Afghanistan, War at the Top of the World.
The information center turned out to be a drab little office filled with mimeographed pamphlets and piles of dusty books.
The director was a short, thin man in a torn sweater named Abdullah Azzam. We spoke at length of the anti-Soviet jihad (struggle) in Afghanistan being waged by Afghan and Arab mujahidin.
